Quran and Sunnah (part 1 of 2) Description:  The religion of Islam is based upon the Quran (the Word of God) and the Sunnah (teachings and attributes of Prophet Muhammad).  Part 1: Quran: The Primary Source of Islam. Jama Masjid of Vadodra, Gujarat, India Claims to have World's Biggest Quran in Size

A mosque of Indian State's Gujarat City Vadodra recently Claims to have World's largest Quran in Size. Earlier Masjid  Kazan's Qolsharif of Russia was  awarded  Guinness World Records certificate for having the world's largest Quran. Printed on Scotland paper, this Quran edition was 150x200 cm, had 632 pages and weighed 800 kg.  The cover was made of malachite and semi-precious stones and is encrusted with phyanite, jade, gold and silver leaf. The mosque, which is famous because of its association with cricketers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan, has now claimed of having the biggest elaboration of the holy text. The length and breadth of this Quran is 75 inch and 41 inch respectively. The ink used in the texts is made up of Kohl and peacock’s feather. The border of the Quran is elaborated with a gold coating.

The Story of Prophet Moses

In both Judaism and Christianity Moses is a central figure.  He is the man from the Old Testament most mentioned in the New Testament, he led the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt, communicated with God and received the Ten Commandments.  Moses is known as both a religious leader and a lawgiver.
